Postdoctoral Research Associates

Prospective Postdoctoral Research Associates interested in joining the lab should apply to advertised positions which will be posted to the University of Arkansas career site, or contact Dr. Joanna Kud attaching your CV, brief statement of research interests, and list of three professional references. Postdocs can also work in collaboration with Dr. Kud to establish funding to join the lab through fellowship applications such as NIFA, NSF PRFB, and Ford Foundation.

Graduate students

Students with an interest in nematology and molecular plant-pathogen interactions are encouraged to apply through the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology or Cell and Molecular Biology Program. General admission information may be found at the University of Arkansas Graduate School page.  Previous research experience, strong writing skills, and a high motivation are desirable.  Interested applicants are highly encouraged to reach out to Dr. Kud prior to application deadlines to inquire about funding opportunities.  Please include a copy of your CV, brief description of your research interests, and relevant experiences together with a list of three professional references. Competitive, outstanding incoming doctoral students have an opportunity to receive The Distinguished Doctoral Fellowship or Doctoral Academy Fellowship to supplement the stipend.

Undergraduate students

Undergraduates who are interested in plant pathology can enhance their education with hands-on experience through research. Our lab is seeking driven and collaborative individuals to serve as undergraduate research assistants and collaborate on research projects in the laboratory, greenhouse, and field. There are various ways to get involved in research, such as participating in summer programs or working in the lab during the school year.
